If you live in a place with a lot of nightlife action or you're just hanging out with your friends, it can be tempting to over-drink. This article will teach you to avoid getting drunk.
Steps:

  • Remember that one glass is okay. One glass of wine is okay. It shouldn't affect you. Just drink slowly and enjoy yourself. Just don't drink anymore. If you know you can't stop at one glass, then don't have any.
  • Make A Plan! Try this with your one close friend. Every couple of months you can go out and have a good time. One of you must stay sober and the other can drink all they want.
  • Distract Yourself! If you must drink, then a distraction might be good for you. Go dance or talk or order another one of your favorite non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Get Educated! If you know what the alcohol slowly does to your body it might be less tempting to drink.
  • Look For Support!. A buddy who refuses to drink, a family member or just about anyone can stop you from over doing it.
  • Rubber Band Flick Trick! Wear a rubber band around your wrist. Every time you get the temptation flick yourself.

Tips:

  • Remember to drink for taste. If you are thirsty order water with your alcoholic beverage so you can drink the water to relive thirst and relax when you drink your alcohol.
  • A therapy session can do you good if your are an active drinker.
